I would like to thank:

  • the five members of the Freemasons Taskforce who acted as poll clerks for their professionalism and good humour in a very hot tally room. They earned every dollar of the small donation that was made to their nominated charity

  • Melb PC auditor, Peter Salter, who assisted and over-viewed the elections;

  • Morris Tobias and Trish Swan who, at my request, helped sort the postal votes fur me to check:

  • the candidates arid their scrutineers who checked the count;

  • several members who wrote to me during the election period bringing to my notice things that I duly considered before making decisions on votes cast.

I will give to the committee my recommendations for possible rule changes to make elections simpler in the future. And to encourage more members to vote than the 4.6% of our membership who voted this year.
