One problem with digital cameras and holidays is that you can run out of memory capacity to store lots of images, especially if you have a high megapixel camera and take lots of photos.
Naturally you can bring your laptop and download them onto the hard disk daily to save and view them. However, if camping in harsh conditions or hiking for days on end, you will not want to lug a laptop with you. Thanks to the evolving technology, there is a solution. You can purchase a viewing device such as Vista Nixvue which is a palm-sized image storage device available with capacities up to 30 GB. It is designed for use by the digital photographer in the field to offload images from a memory card. It has many I/O channels including built-in LCD viewer and TV out. It supports most memory cards and most operating systems. Unfortunately it costs close to $1000. |
